Steven is currently a project manager, Chartered Senior design engineer and team leader in the Edinburgh office with over ten years’ consulting experience. As well as civil engineering and environmental design, Steven specialises in geotechnical engineering and has gained valuable experience in all aspects of ground investigations from design and specification through to site management, test scheduling and interpretive reporting. Steven’s geotechnical design experience is varied from designing the earthworks for Category A & B reservoirs, undertaking slope stability analysis and implementing solutions including MSE, quarried block stone, gabion baskets and ground anchors. Other geotechnical design experience includes pile design and horizontal directional drilling design. Steven also has experience in civil engineering design including the design of earthworks, roads and footpaths, blue green networks, drainage networks, culverts & debris screens, river restorations and multiple Flood Protection Schemes. Steven is also the technical lead for Network Rail scour assessments and Surface Water Management Plans in Scotland.
