In this role, I serve as an Innovation Planner and Facilitator, providing strategic recommendations to address future challenges across people and culture, technology and capabilities, and practices and operations. My key responsibilities include:• Planning, conducting, and facilitating workshops and off-site sessions to rapidly identify creative solutions and embed them into DSCA's mission.• Leading the justification and negotiation of fiscal, facility, and personnel resources needed to meet innovation objectives.• Conducting trend analyses of historical data to make informed recommendations, including overseeing technology upgrades to ensure alignment with state-of-the-art training needs.• Managing audits, evaluations, and certifications to address complex, high-stakes programmatic issues, ensuring compliance and resolving conflicts within the DSCA Innovation Program.• Coordinating innovation planning activities with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including the National Security Innovation Network, OUSD(R&E), OUSD(Policy), and other entities within the Department of Defense Innovation Ecosystem.

As the Student Program Associate (Coordinator) for Orientation at George Washington University, I primarily collaborated with the Assistant Director and campus stakeholders across virtually the entire campus in planning, implementing, assessing, and enhancing annual orientation sessions for new students and their families. This included overseeing attendance tracking and reporting of all Orientation events and serving as the main point of contact for a variety of Orientation programming and planning. Supervision and training was also a focal aspect of this role, and I selected, trained, and supervised Student Coordinators, Orientation Peer Advisors, Orientation Leaders, and Weeks of Welcomed Leaders and designed and delivered leadership development trainings for these student leaders, creating a curriculum and activities for facilitating targeted development using a variety of leadership development theories and practices. I also facilitated weekly meetings, training sessions, and retreat(s). From a communication standpoint, my role included overseeing the electronic and website presence of our office, utilizing a variety of programs to create graphics, designs, and overall content for these outlets.

As a graduate assistant for the Office of New Student Orientation, I was able to assist Professional Staff and lead initiatives in a variety of areas around the office. I conducted assessments about Summer 2020 Orientation programming and about the Orientation Leader and Lead Team experiences during Summer 2020, and evaluated results to provide areas of strength and future growth for these positions; I helped recruit and interview a team of 55 Orientation Leaders for Summer 2021; I had the opportunity to shape the spring training curriculum for our Orientation Leaders, and develop content and presentations related to leadership development; and much more.

The University 101 Graduate Leader program allows students in the the Higher Education and Student Affairs M.Ed. program to learn how to effectively develop and teach a first-year seminar. In this position, I co-taught a section of University 101, an introductory course to college life and resources for 19 first-year students. I worked extensively with my co-instructor to modify and adapt existing lesson plans to fit a COVID-impacted classroom; throughout the semester, students would have to miss class for a variety of reasons, including COVID, and I managed the livestreaming of our class and facilitation of activities in a virtual format when needed. I managed our communications with students via GroupMe, email, and Blackboard about assignments and campus opportunities. I had great opportunities to develop and facilitate content for our students on topics such as mental health, equity and privilege, campus safety, presentation skills, and more.

As a graduate assistant with the Capstone Scholars program, one of my focal duties was advising a cohort of 320 first and second-year Capstone Scholars one-on-one through Capstone Consultations, providing them with resources related to offices, programs, development, events, housing, and academic tools both on- and off-campus. I helped lead our "Adulting" workshop series, and planned, marketed, and executed Capstone's first "Adulting Month" in February 2020, covering topics like filing taxes, traveling on a budget, stress management, leadership and employability, and more. I co-advised the Capstone Connectors mentorship program by overseeing the Connectors Directorate Board, a group of six Capstone Alumni that mentor new Connectors and schedule trainings and events. With an undergraduate peer instructor, I co-taught a section of the Capstone Scholars Leadership Program (CSLP) with an undergraduate peer instructor, a half-semester course focusing on leadership development utilizing the Student Leadership Challenge model.

Microsoft Experts are responsible for delivering an end-to-end Microsoft Experience across all aspects of the Microsoft ecosystem. Experts work closely with other employees to demonstrate, promote and sell a variety of exciting Microsoft assortment in and across the store to ensure customers' end-to-end needs are met. Experts builds quality relationships with retail consumers, while providing them with relevant and memorable product demonstrations.Microsoft Experts are Microsoft and Best Buy certified in taking complex technology and making it simple for clients to understand and see unique value. When not actively working with a customer, Microsoft Experts are responsible for building relationships with associates and management and providing coachings and trainings intended to improve associate and department performance.

Student Program Coordinators are responsible for coordinating and administering Freshman and Transfer Orientation and Welcome Programs. Student Program Coordinators assist in planning, overseeing, implementing, and evaluating the above programs through the effective and efficient use of personnel, funding, resources, communications, and campus partners. The four Student Program Coordinators work together as a team to implement training and programs, including the training and development of the 28 Orientation Leaders as well as the 300+ Welcome Week Leaders.

The Student Behavior Committee is the central judiciary body for the Twin Cities Campus in all cases involving violations of the University's Student Conduct Code by individual students and as the primary judiciary body for the Twin Cities Campus in all cases involving violations of University rules and policies by student organizations under the jurisdiction of the Student Activities Office.

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are responsible for administering a successful New Student Orientation and Welcome Week. Both programs focus on providing a quality transitional experience for new students while working to create the foundations for the community within the Class of 2021. Additionally, the OLs work as a team to recruit and train a volunteer team of 350 Welcome Week Leaders. OLs are selected based on their ability to work well with others, communicate effectively, and commit to a rigorous schedule. OLs must display public relations skills and maturity of judgment. Additionally, OLs need to have patience, flexibility, strong organizational skills, and be willing and ready to learn. They are resourceful and capable of assuming a leadership position with little supervision.

Leadership in Careers (LinC) is a semester long co-curricular program which welcomes and encourages students of any major and any age/year in school to participate. The program focuses on building leadership skills applicable to any field of study and chosen career path. The program consists of a multiple day retreat, follow-up professional workshops, partnership with a professional mentor, and an end of the program gala to celebrate the completion of the program. Coordinating this program involved interdepartmental communication and planning, working with various companies and resources to plan the retreat for the participants, and creating a curriculum and materials/supplements regarding leadership and professional development.

Maintenance of timing equipment used for events held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, managing events held at the UMNAC, assess and respond quickly and appropriately to issues that may arise during events

Taught Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid and managed certifications for students.

This position was primarily responsible for delivering and facilitating drop-in activities for Museum visitors. These activities included, but were not limited to: classroom art activities and tactile sensory activities, in-gallery activities, large motor activities, and activities during on and offsite special events. Other responsibilities included assisting with staff-led programs, and working behind the scenes to ensure that program supplies were prepared and well-maintained.
