Hackpen Hill is a construction delivery consultancy offering tailored project management solutions for clients investing in projects within Airports. My role was working in a small team of Retail Delivery Managers providing design and technical assistance to various retails who had been awarded retail units within the new extension to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.

London, United Kingdom

I was the Preconstruction Manager for Bluegroup Retail, who are an established contractorspecialising in the retail sector. My role required excellent construction knowledge and a thorough understanding of the key elements to set up a project. My training and experience in the construction industry also enabled me to provide instruction to the team on design matters, construction detailing and the co-ordination of the consultant information.

During my time at Househam Henderson (now Hyphen) I worked with many prestigious retail clients providing the necessary expertise to develop the concept designs to a fully coordinated construction issue set, create pricing documents, obtain local authority approval and manage the projects through the construction phase.

Newbury

I joined Sutton Griffin on a temporary contract basis to work on a large mixed use redevelopment of Newbury town centre. My duties were to work within the Parkway team and assist in the production of the construction issue drawings for this major retail development.

Winchester

During my time at Radley House I was predominately working for multi-national supermarket retailer (Aldi) on numerous construction projects from refurbishments to extensions and new builds. My duties for these projects would be to gain local authority approval, produce the various documents required for the tender packages and create a complete set of working drawings incorporating the design team information. Once the projects were in the construction phase I would oversee the works on site with the contractor, attend various meetings and ultimately hand the completed project to the client. In my last year at Radley House I was responsible for the production of a full working set of standard drawings for three different Aldi store designs in two different construction methods. These standard packs of drawings are now being implemented in the various Aldi architects offices throughout the UK.

During my time at Lewis & Hickey I worked for a multi-national retailer (Borders Books) on numerous construction projects from fit outs of new retail units to the refurbishment of existing stores. My duties would be to gain local authority approval, to produce the documents required for the various tender packages, to create a complete set of working drawings incorporating the design team details and co-ordinate the design scheme of the two retail concessions within the overall retail layout (Starbucks & Paperchase).
