In 2022 I started a small business that manufactures templates and formers for producing paper pieces needed to create reproductions of historical paper cartridges for pre-20th century military firearms. Our products are based on meticulous research of period military and civilian documentation and use cutting-edge modern technology to deliver templates accurate to within .005". We utilize CAD to produce designs based on period specifications and go directly to production from digital masters.

As a member of the Certification team I bring my Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science skills together to help plot the course for development of Solid Edge software and verify its suitability for mechanical design work. My responsibilities include participation in stakeholder meetings to help insure that changes and enhancements in Solid Edge functionality bring value to the customer. As a five-year veteran of using Solid Edge as a customer, and 20 years of using other CAD packages, I bring a strong customer perspective to the table.I am also responsible for creating and executing test plans specifically designed to aggressively test and push the software with the intent of causing it to fail, utilizing both common and obscure workflows to try and cover as many avenues to failure as possible. In addition to hands-on, real-world testing, emphasis is also placed on developing and executing automated test programs to both exercise the software and return metrics about its performance.I work very closely with many different software developers to accurately, concisely, and repeatably communicate bugs and deficiencies and test their fixes.I am pleased and privileged to work in a very diverse work environment with highly intelligent, creative people from cultures and countries from around the world. We have a tight-knit, highly collaborative environment where we work to rapidly and dynamically create new products while methodically and rigorously testing them.

I am the chief Ballistics Designer for Eras Gone Bullet Molds. I reverse-engineer antique bullet designs using archeological data and actual artifacts to produce hyper-accurate CAD models which are then used to CNC carve molds for reproducing them. Over half a dozen designs currently in production with more pending. Design turnaround is generally in minutes from concept to finished output.

I help clients who need mechanical design and drafting work on a variety of projects. From outdoor recreational equipment involving sheet metal, machined parts, and welding, to industrial ovens for the powder coating industry involving modular sheet metal components, to accessories for black powder firearms involving 3D printing and injection-molded plastic, I bring my decades of mechanical design experience to bear to help customers turn their ideas into manufacturable and cost-effective products.I work directly with customers who can provide anything from napkin sketches to working with their own CAD data. I can take projects from concept to manufacturing-ready, or I can salvage existing designs that have stalled out.

As the senior mechanical engineering staff at Maxvision, I am responsible for many of the company's new designs and modifications of existing designs of rugged portable computer systems. Our design pace is extremely rapid with computer systems often taken from concept to delivery in 90 days. Our use of Computer Aided Design has vastly reduced our dependence on physical prototypes and greatly shrinks design schedules.
