Steven is an effective communicator and public relations/community engagement professional. With experience in the energy, municipal, provincial and federal government sectors, he has developed an extensive network and sound political acumen. He is an advocate for engagement and partnerships that enhance the wellbeing of the community, and thrives on building genuine relationships with colleagues, community members, and a range of stakeholders. Most recently, he has been the Community Engagement Officer at the Municipality of South Bruce, supporting the community through a learning and willingness process regarding the NWMO's Project for Canada's used nuclear fuel. South Bruce was exited from the site selection process for the Project in November 2024. He is seeking his next professional challenge as the engagement role winds down in the coming months.Steven also brings his skills and connections to the team at Boudeweel Public Affairs, where he provides a unique lens to the Quebec-based boutique firm offering communications and strategic support as an associate advisor on a part-time basis.Steven strongly believes in participating in, and giving back to, the region that he calls home. He serves on the board of directors for Friends of the Orphans Canada, and is the President of the Walkerton Kinsmen Club. With a strong background in community service and local government, Steven applied for, and was appointed to the Municipality of Brockton Council in October 2024 to fill a vacant seat. He is serving the residents and ratepayers of Brockton at the council table, and through his appointment to four municipal committees/boards.Steven graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science (French Immersion) in 2020.
