This was done by researching and crafting policy memos comparing legislative text to current law, engaging with relevant stakeholders, and providing my recommendations on potential actions.Act as surrogate representing Member to other congressional offices, stakeholders, and constituents. Regularly led discussion groups with other policy staffers on large legislative efforts to share information.Engage supervisors and bi-coastal staff in daily communication to ensure efficient operations.Regularly draft remarks, press releases, letters and speeches for a variety of settings related to my policy portfolio.

Coordinated and managed front office activities, including managing constituent tour program and office intern program. Researched and drafted constituent correspondence and legislative policy work as directed by senior staff. Select Accomplishments: Hired and trained four interns who transitioned into full-time roles within the office, either in D.C. or district offices. Revamped office on-boarding documents to provide a more streamlined entry point for new staff.
