I have worked within the Hospitality industry since my graduation in 2012 up until September 2017. Initially recruited as a receptionist by Travelodge Hotels, I progressed through their management scheme to become Assistant Hotel Manager in two of the biggest hotels in the district (York Central and Scarborough St Nicholas). While at Travelodge I was afforded the opportunity to try new things outside of my standard job role including handling grievances and disciplinaries, the TUPE of ISS contractors to Travelodge, note taking for HR meetings, and assisting in the opening of a new hotel. I have since moved on to become Sales and Office Manager at Scarborough Brewery where I arrange the logistics of a small microbrewery. As well as this I help promote the brand, source new customers, as well as general administration duties.I am currently studying a CIMA Qualification in Business Management and at the brewery have handled several aspects of the financial accounting for the business. I have a 2:1 Degree in English Language & Linguistics with strong analytical skills. During my time at The University of York I took part in the York Students in Schools programme across two terms, including trialing the YSIS Plus course for block placements. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language in my spare time.Full UK Driving License, and First Aid Trained.
