The main role involves ; preparing and equipping test environments required for Integration, System, Performance and User Acceptance Testing at the lowest possible cost; Providing environment support during the test execution phase; Creating, refreshing, maintaining and removing databases used by projects; Deploying application development builds to environments ; Proactively maintaining the environments and their components to replicate the processes and configuration of the production environment. Planning test environments use in accordance with individual project test plans and feeding them into the master test environment schedule. Assess project and operational priorities to deliver environments that do not compromise the schedule of project teams. Key responsibilities include providing regular communications to key stakeholders about the environment status during the life cycle of the project; Managing expectations of projects; Delivering test environments at a project level, ensuring that they are fit for purpose, and in accordance with the Quality Management framework.

The main responsibilities include the design, build and implementation of the new end to end business management system to ensure minimum time spent on processing sales orders, purchase orders, invoices and stock management to fulfil the business needs. I have successfully completed and delivered the following projects; set up of the company call centre, dedicated disaster recovery facility at an offsite location,picking and packing facilities of the new distribution warehouse and a data transfer site which operates sftp and ftp. The role also includes reporting on project performance to key users and the management board to ensure successful project delivery. Duties also include the maintenance and support of all the company’s internal applications, including the backup and disaster recovery of these systems; the documentation of these systems; the management, maintenance and improvement of the company website; and to provide improvements for the day to day operations.

The role involved the planning, organisation and management of the system support staff including windows, unix, networking and database support teams and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organisations IT infrastructure. Duties include overseeing the maintenance of all production systems including the installation and commission of the SAP system These systems control and monitor most of the leading banks credit card payment machines. The role encompassed scheduling and directing activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Other key aspects ; bid proposals, contracts and other documentation for projects and develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for the company’s IT infrastructure. Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services. Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures. Establish the SLA's with business units.

The main aspects of this role consisted of looking after a team of analysts that developed applications using Tcl/Tk with embedded SQL in a UNIX, Oracle and Informix environment. These software applications were used for the management of the production lines. Key duties involved the management of other groups that were involved in projects to ensure that projects were delivered on time and within budget. The team developed complete solutions and therefore Networks knowledge (Cabletron and Cisco) was used in the integration of the different systems.
