Time served CNC Machinist and Manufacturing Engineer. I have 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering across a range of sectors predominantly Oil and Gas, Rail and Defence. During my career I have engineered and machined components varying greatly in size and complexity, from small and medium machining to large vertical turning. I have a covered a range of manufacturing disciplines including CNC Turning, Milling and 5 Axis Mill/Turn Machining Centres. This has been mostly using FANUC control systems and Doosan machine tools.As a Manufacturing Engineer I take responsibility for the offline programming of components for various CNC machine tools typically CNC Turning Lathes and Mill/Turn machining centres. In this role I aim to engineer jobs efficiently, minimising cycle times, set up times and tooling costs, whilst most importantly maintaining quality throughout the manufacturing process. I use Solidworks and more recently Edgecam Designer for 3D solid modelling and Edgecam 2021 CAM software for programming.
