Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager I am responsible for overseeing all external and internal stock into the Thornbury Distribution Centre across all our entities. Responsibilities:• Checking the accuracy of the delivered stock against a PO (Purchase order) including ASN (advance shipment notice) and SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code)• Communicating variances to PO with buying teams and resolved, receipt or return stock based on business procedures• Coordinating inwards deliveries with the use of forecasting and planning reports• Identifying and recommending changes in the operational function to raise standards of performance• Leading and motivating a team of 11 – 13 team members to meet KPIs per function• Assisting in employee training, development and engagement• Resource planning to maximise efficiency and ensure operational success

Responsible for the accurate, timely and safe receipt and dispatch of hire equipment in a fast moving reactive environment, upholding OH&S standards, staff management and development, and ensuring all site needs are met.Achievements:• Holding yard restructure for improved workflow and easier access to equipment, resulting in over 1100m2 of additional ground space.• Implementation of initiative for refurbishing or recycling old or damaged pallets, resulting in a 48% saving compared with new pallet cost.• Loading zone (LUEZ) restructure and implementation of new protocols for upgraded safety of all personnel within the area.• Installing Lean principles at all working areas across site.• Lead project management of site mobile plant review and subsequent upgrade, resulting in discovery of mobile plant lifting inefficiencies that breached OHS compliance. The problem was resolved by replacing inadequate equipment with suitable alternatives. • Lead project management and design in converting an air testing system to a water testing system for Layflat hoses. This initiative also included implementation of a new water recycling system to prevent wastage.• Upgrade of Site diesel refuelling station, involving extended hoses for greater reach, new tank and pump installation, and ensuring all OHS requirements were met in the area.• Lead project manager on Wash Bay upgrade involving replacement of floor, triple interceptor, and high pressure water equipment, resulting in enhanced safety and greater efficiency in moving stock through the station. This involved me organising and managing a temporary Wash Bay for the 5 weeks that works were being carried out.• Upgrade of SOPs and information sheets for easier reference, understanding and action by staff.• Installation of new and redistribution of current racking to better suit more efficient layout and increase holding space.

Responsible for the effective management of the Distribution department, which included effective management of 24-30 shift personnel, upholding OH&S standards, meeting company KPIs, and multiple site improvement projects.Achievements:• 25% daily delivery m2 increase to customers and partners resulting in improved profitability of the Distribution department.• Successful review and upgrade of finished product layout adding 133m2 of new racking for increased storage ability.• The design, development and implementation of multiple OH&S improvements including upgraded traffic time tables, automatic boom gates, photo ID team identification cards, and digital camera installation resulting in improved safety across the entire distribution site.• Member on site EBA negotiations.• Strategic review of all SOP, SWMS, training and induction modules, including exposing and resolving vulnerabilities within existing systems, and developing streamlined procedures for improved efficiency.• Emergency setup of offsite warehousing including optimal layout, mobility, refuelling capability and safety in accordance with Australian OH&S standards, resulting in improved efficiency on site and successful planning for future capacity requirements.• Lead project manager of upgrade and renewal of site’s ailing mobile plate.
