Air Traffic Control Engineer
CurrentWorking within the Oceanic ATS Day Support Team I am the 2nd line support for this system (Ops and Training) and it's subsystems. I hold the relevant Competency Rating which allows me to work on the Oceanic Air Traffic System. I also act as an interface between the System Asset Design Authority and Service Delivery.Role, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:• Provide flexible system engineering support.• Perform all assigned maintenance, repair, modification and inspection tasks on Air Traffic Management systems.• Support primary role whilst providing additional support for the other areas within the business.• Providing specialist support in order to restore service and redundancy.• Take part in on-call arrangements where if required to ensure operational manning profile is met.• Carry out administration, maintenance and fault diagnosis of ATM system in order to assure that agreed service levels are attained.• Investigate system malfunctions that are of an ambiguous nature, or unusually recurrent.• Produce, review and amend engineering instructions to ensure that systems are operated and maintained in a safe and professional manner.• To provide required expertise to support project requirements• Maintain configuration records for hardware, software and adaptation for ATM systems• The provision of equipment performance data as required.• Provide assistance and sometimes deliver on-job-training (OJT) for other NATS sections.
