• Responsible for strategically planning and improving grass roots football facilities across the South East • Identified and delivered £118m worth of projects over the last 9 years into clubs, local authorities and schools through Football Foundation. South East Region benefited from the most number of successful grant applications and capital investment during my time managing the Region• Delivered pre-application support to applicants on areas ranging from football development, business planning and technical advice• Responded to planning applications that may potentially result in the loss of football facilities. This resulted in a considerable number of playing pitches being saved from development. I negotiated with housing developers to ensure appropriate replacement of facilities were delivered when planning applications have been supported resulting in the loss of pitches• Played a key role in the production of Local Authority Playing Pitch Strategies to accurately reflect the needs of football across the South East of England• Worked in partnership with Sport England and other National Governing Bodies to produce data relating to the need for 3G Football Turf Pitches across the Region• Responsible for the successful role out of the Pitch Improvement Programme across the South East working closely with County FA’s and the Institute of Groundsmanship• Produced an Induction Programme for newly appointed Regional Facilities & Investment Managers and County FA Development Managers in relation to facility investment work• Presented numerous key note presentations, including Surrey County FA Annual Conference and a Stadia 3G Conference

Assessed applications under the PE & Schools Sports Programme on a consultancy basis. This required assessing set criteria, including design issues, sports development and business planning.

• Strategically managed Community Sport & Physical Activity in Central Bristol. • Project management, Staff and budget management responsibility• Managed investment programme - Secured £1.5m funding from Sport England, The FA and New Deal for Communities to deliver sport and physical activity in a diverse and socially deprived community in Central Bristol• Secured £2m from Sport England, Football Foundation, ECB and Bristol City Council to deliver a significant capital project at a key grass roots football site • Worked in partnership with Sport England, Specialist Sports Colleges, National Governing Bodies, Primary Care Trust’s and community sports clubs to manage the delivery of a sports development programme that tackled wider social issues

• Responsible for the development of clubs and coaches involved in the Sport England Active Sports Programme• Partnership working with a range of agencies, including Sport England, SportsCoach UK and National Governing Bodies• Responsible for the implementation of a child protection policy for the county sports partnership.

• Developed and managed capital applications for lottery funding from sports clubs, Local Authorities and Schools• Provided advice on design guidance, club development, coach education, business planning and marketing. • Published a Policy Guidance Manual on Capital Projects. • Led a review of the application process for lottery funding• Managed and assessed a number of revenue initiatives, including School Sport Co-ordinator and Active Communities Development Fund programmes
