Foster LLP exposed me to a myriad of legal issues including division of matrimonial property, child representation, custody and parenting proceedings, bail proceedings, and mobility applications. I spent my summer attending court with Foster LLP's lawyers, preparing summary disclosure documents, writing research memorandums, and helping draft direct.

• Spending my second summer with ATCO Pipelines' Regulatory Team allowed my understanding and appreciation for the subtleties of regulatory work to grow. Over the course of the summer helped with:
• Answering Information Requests in regards to Pipelines' 17-18 General Rate Application's Compliance Filing,
• Developing a Information Request Repository to assist witness preparation,
• Creating research briefings for upcoming regulatory topics, and
• Creating Excel files to support cost-claim reports to the Alberta Utility Commission.

• This position was a great experience to help me prepare for law school as a large portion of my days were spent researching regulatory policies and/or reviewing regulatory filings. Over the course of the summer I.

• I was extremely fortunate to find myself in this co-op position to explore my dreams of becoming a lawyer. During my summer my responsibilities included:
• Using PCLaw Accounting Software to manage the practice's accounting needs,
• Doing general clerical work in the office and at MairLaw's off-site storage facility,
• Taking notes during meetings, judicial dispute resolutions, and court appearances, and
• Becoming a Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta and commissioning documents.I also shadowed several lawyers during the summer, and was sent to Red Deer, AB to shadow a Provincial Court Judge.

• During my second summer with ATCO Pipelines, my role was expanded from the previous year and I was trusted to:
• Use Oracle to forecast ATCO Pipelines' Electronic Fund Transfers in preparation for the next day,
• Audit my co-workers inputs into Oracle and to correct mistakes,
• Independently accomplish the thrice-weekly cheque-runs for suppliers and land-owners, and
• Oversee the master-list of charities that were donated to through the ATCO Epic Campaign.

• During my first summer at ATCO Pipelines I was exposed to the business world for the first time. I was given daily duties which included:
• Answering phone-calls and emails from suppliers,
• Sorting and distributing the mail,
• Filing completed invoices, and
• Completing small organizational projects over the course of the summer.
