The dynamic nature of my role requires agility and resilience to apply many specialist learning skills supported by a broader understanding of commercial awareness and how learning and development supports strategic and organisational objectives. I strive to ensure my output is positive for the individual and profitable for the organisation. I have Learning and Development responsibilities for eight sites within AEGON, as such, a strong emphasis on relationship building with senior stakeholders and leading by example is necessary in order to succeed. I travel nationally on a weekly basis to each of our Regional Sales Centres as well as Head Office (Edinburgh).I am an active member of the Management and Leadership teams within my business unit and act as main point of contact for e-learning solutions (this includes leading relevant project work-streams). I have responsibility for managing and developing online assessments across sales and the wider business. I manage the learning elements of product launch projects; which incorporate a wide range of learning interventions for both staff and Team Managers.I have been heavily involved in major projects for AEGON, encompassing a successful change management programme for the national Sales Division and the development of a new Targeting Operating Model, the work was challenging and required the implementation of existing skills as well as the quick learning of new skills to ensure successful delivery.I pride myself on being in a constant state of development and promoting this within the organisation, sharing ideas, gaining qualifications and observing my peers and external trainers at every opportunity have ensured significant success in my role.

As Sales Support I worked on a one-to-one basis with a Senior Sales Consultant, my position involved working on multiple cases simultaneously, hitting tight deadlines to the highest of standards. The position required a high level of technical and regulatory knowledge as well as an ability to position it within the market place. Our hard work was highlighted in 2007 by my Consultant achieving the number 1 sales position from over 170 sales people.
