Completed a three-month BBSRC Doctoral Training Programme Professional Internships for PhD students (PIPS). Reporting to the Dr Mark Hudson, Development Director, responsibilities included studying the efficacy of using fingerprint sweat as a drug detection vehicle while devising a fingerprint imaging method on a drug-testing cartridge to identify and measure fingerprint volume.Achievements:> Designed and assembled a benchtop imaging prototype system under patent review. > Facilitated comparisons between the fingerprint volume and drug concentration with an unequivocal identification method developed using expertise in imaging and analysis.> Resolved disparity issues between samples while simultaneously doubling as a personal identification metric.
