Hi, I am Sue, PR Specialist with over 25 years of industry experience within consumer lifestyle, travel, health and wellness, and Managing Partner at Clarion Communications – a WPP-owned consumer, trade and digital PR agency, known for delivering award-winning creative campaigns. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with start-ups and household names in various sectors - from FMCG, retail and travel to health and wellness - including Coca-Cola, Wickes, Ford, Alton Towers Resort, InterContinental Hotel Group, Sambazon Acai, Healthspan Multivitamins and Veet. Growing up between Hong Kong and London, I’ve always had a deep admiration for the art of PR and advertising- the cleverness & creativity that it takes to tell stories that break through culture and make a lasting impact – and I’ve loved watching the industry evolve. Creativity is the red thread to my work; to fuel and recognise it in our agency, managing the Clarion Creativity Team, and designing a Reverse Mentoring Programme to bridge generational gaps and drive innovation.One of my proudest career achievements so far has been leading my team to winning the globally-renowned Cannes Lions Award in 2013 for Warburtons Toastie Knife – the world’s first heated butter knife. The relationship with Warburtons, now the most chosen grocery brand and largest bakery brand in the UK (The Nielsen Company and Kantar, 2020) is one that I cultivated for over 14 years, driving the brand’s national expansion and securing HRH Prince Philip’s attendance to their first southern bakery opening. When I am not working with clients on strategic brand positioning or integrated campaign planning, you’ll find me promoting wellness in the workplace, practising yoga, swimming, or spending quality time with my family and my beautiful son.
