Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. As a high-energy training professional I have worked with hundreds of aspiring and first line managers to achieve their goals by using the right leadership and management behaviours with the right people in the right way at the right time.In a dynamic world, technical skills are often prioritised at the expense of 'people' skills, which I strongly believe are equally important to learn and develop in a safe environment.Feedback from my workshops support my ability to engage with clients by: -★ Understanding how your organisation works★ Designing/delivering interactive workshops/coaching sessions tailored to your needs★ Creating long term relationships with you to improve first line/aspiring managers’ performance. As crew member on Ariel (the winning yacht!) in the 1998-99 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, I learned valuable leadership lessons and widened my horizons. Whilst Watch Leader on one leg it was critical to create a positive impact when working with and leading very different people. I bring this understanding and drive to benefit first line/aspiring managers who want to grow and develop. My practical approach means people can fully engage with the competencies needed to be successful managers/leaders, especially in a technical environment. I use exercises/case studies that relate to your workplace and your own individual situations. Typical workshops cover: -★ Is leadership/management for you and what does it involve?★ What are your current strengths?★ Which other skills do you need to develop and where do you start?Specialities: assessment/development centres, coaching, performance management and appraisal, personal impact, teamwork/team building, giving/receiving feedback, customer service and loyalty. My interests outside work include walking in wild places, sailing, playing racquet sports and growing/cooking my own healthy food! I also intend to start playing golf again soon!
Listed skills include Coaching, Management Development, Training, Workshop Facilitation, and 39 others.
