Raft is building a real-time data platform for the Department of Defense (DoD), aimed at enhancing operators' awareness of critical events, including instances like the Chinese balloon and Cessna over the White House incidents. Central to this data platform is the aggregation of real-time data from over 750 sensors. This data is subsequently enriched, rendered queryable, and ultimately presented as a common operational picture to empower operators in making time-critical and pertinent decisions. Our system efficiently handles the processing of over a billion events daily, all achieved with millisecond-level latency.

Project Alpaca, a career prep non-profit, I've had the opportunity to be a part of an incredible initiative that provides comprehensive support to under-resourced NYC college students venturing into the tech industry.Through Project Alpaca, I've been immersed in a secure yet challenging environment, benefiting from both group and personalized mentorship. This setting has enabled me to cultivate the advanced skills essential for thriving as a future problem solver and critical thinker.The program spans nine months and involves a close-knit cohort of 12–15 students. It offers a customized curriculum delivered through a combination of in-person and online sessions. The diverse range of activities includes hands-on real-world projects, portfolio development, speaker workshops, one-on-one mentorship, networking events, industry engagements, job interview coaching, company visits, and opportunities for internships and job placements.

As an intern for NYC Department of Transportation and under the supervision of the Director of Asset Management, I participated in an intensive 15-week IT Project Management training internship. Along with being trained in how to use the Project Management Institute’s preferred methods of project management, my team was responsible for developing a small-scale application from start to finish. This included gathering business and functional requirements and the proceeding to write a project scope, schedule, risk management plan, quality management plan, and communications plan. We also were responsible for weekly progress updates to our stakeholders, where we honed our presentation skills.Our group worked on creating a dynamic map of NYCDOT open data, plotting NYCDOT’s assets on a dynamic map along with a interactive dashboard for user to navigate and interact with the data that was visualized using Leaflet.js and React.js
