Based within the Program Support Unit (PSU) I lead on program development and resource mobilisation for AKF's rural development program and climate action, health and education and humanitarian assistance interventions . I also contribute input in the strategic positioning of AKF-A through research and ideas on climate change, peace-building and social cohesion, and civil society engagement etc. I endeavour to align the visions of various partners and stakeholders involved in development and humanitarian interventions in fragile communities and states.

As a key member of AKF-A's Economic Inclusion (EI) unit I was responsible for managing a complex development project tied around agriculture and food security, SME development and rural infrastructure. The 15M USD project was funded by Sida. In this role I also contributed ideas in developing market-led growth strategies for poverty reduction in AKF's geographies of concern in Afghanistan.

Undertook an action research around management of natural resources through customary laws. This research was published as an extended policy brief which has been used as a background paper in framing a provincial law in Gilgit-Baltistan for integrating and recognising customary laws within the national legislative frameworks. With HBS I developed and implemented an advocacy campaign for sustainable livelihoods and natural resources management issues in northern Pakistan.

Worked closely with Prof. Ron Mitchell, an international authority on international environmental treaties and climate change politics. Developed an innovative contextually relevant course for teaching at Pakistani universities on international environmental issues. Delivered lectures and presentations on Pakistan's climate change challenges and responses to UO grad students.

Gilgit

- Prepared a province-wide evidence based analysis of the situation related to the implementation of UNICEF’s Child Friendly Schools (CFS) concept in Gilgit-Baltistan.- Developed a comprehensive education strategy aimed at scaling up the CFS concept across the government and private schools in the region. Produced and wrote the script for a documentary capturing the achievements and salient activities of the project in addition to collecting several success stories and other media products.

- Monitoring and analysis of a KfW funded mega social development project in Gilgit-Baltistan. - Initiated, conceptualised and formulated a Knowledge Management (KM) strategy, capturing best practices, lessons learned, and case studies, leveraging these products for internal process improvement and external resource mobilisation and stakeholder engagement. -Developed new concept notes and advised in strategic managemnet and contributed in Board papers- Donor relations and partner relationship management.
