• Understand emerging fraud patterns in all regions from a strategic perspective and guide the regional team to take steps which will pre-empt fraud cases on all loan products. Periodic visit to branches - checking the documents and talking to the members in the centers’.• Identify the modus-operandi carried out on a case-to-case basis for each fraud, gathering information about existing and pre-empted crisis related issues. Ensure adequate measures are in place to handle frauds and regularly report fraud cases.• Identify loopholes in the existing system and suggest process improvements and imparting necessary education to field staff.• Ensure that fraud metrics/benchmarks are achieved and minimize fraud exposures/loses on loan products and keep fraud loses at acceptable levels.• Investigation of fraud cases by way of field visits, liaise with police, counsels and local authorities• Keep abreast of the court proceedings and follow up with the concerned advocate in case we have hired one to handle our case.• Closely coordinate with the Audit department to ensure that risk management objectives are met.• Maintain and liaise with important official’s viz., IAS, IPS and local influential persons on a regular basis.• Close follow up of police complaints against our operations/staff/Management, sense any political involvement and report to Management.• Get the FIRs (First Information Report) filed in event of occurrence of any fraud and necessary follow-up for recovery of the amount involved.• Ensure filing of charge sheets and closure of all court cases.
