• Responsible for managing all the tooling development related topics for new Project to achieve/meet deadlines of Project Milestones • To handle the Running tooling topics at OEM , optimization and plan for duplicate tools requirement as per the PQF plan For PLM• Collaborate with Design team to optimize part design as per feasibility, cost effectiveness and to ease manufacturing process.• Coordinate with the global team for Industrial design related topics and tooling updates on weekly basis.• Floating RFQ to suppliers with the tool specification sheet and requirements• Working with purchase department to finalize the tooling supplier based on the audit, Providing Technical support in the negotiation• Closer of DFM & mold flow reports and provides inputs to design team and suppliers for implementation • Give DFM, Tool design and Steel cutting go ahead approval after verification• Getting weekly Progress updates from the suppliers on the running project and periodic inspection during the manufacturing stage at supplier end • Attending trials, Analysis and evaluate the feasibility of the modification required based on the fit and function.• Buy off trials with the tool lifting checklist and commissioning trial and finalizing the process parameter at OEM supplier.• Work with OEM suppliers for optimizing the cycle time to reduce the part cost without compromising the quality standard.
