Work Summary: Famous Footwear 1994-2004 Mgmt. Began as a an Assistant Manager and within a year I moved into a Store Manager position. In that role I executed floor changes, merchandising, and shipping and receiving. My position as a Store Manager also included all hiring, training, and preparing my staff for promotions. I also served as the Human Resource liaison for my stores including any disciplinary issues and firing. Customer service was my number one priority and I enjoyed that aspect of the job. I enjoyed being able to help our customers find what they were looking for and suggesting alternative choices for their needs. Humane Society of Grater Nashua, NH 2003-2005. I began my involvement with the Humane Society as a volunteer. Walking the dogs and helping with the care of the animals. I was given the opportunity to work for the agency July of 2004 as an animal caregiver and front desk manager. My job consisted of walking, feeding, and playing with the dogs. As well as cleaning their kennels in the morning. Once that was finished I took over the front desk to process animal intake as well as adoptions. Coordinate donations and press releases. I enjoyed my time with the Humane Society and I continue to be active in Animal Rights and Rescue. I left the Humane Society to give birth to our son, and I have been a stay at home mother since April, 2005. I have stayed active in our community through volunteer work. I have worked with the American Cancer Society since 1998 with their Relay for Life events. First as a special event chairperson then eventually becoming the Chairperson for the entire event. I chaired the Kane Co. IL Relay for Life event for both 2009 and 2010 where we were the 3rd largest Relay in the state of Illinois. I am very proud of the work we did as well as the impressive amount we were able to raise. Over $600,000 in two years makes me very proud. I still continue to support Relay for Life and the ACS.
