Susan has lived her entire life in the Richmond area.When she graduated from Douglas Freeman High School, her parents moved to Tappahannock, Va. and Susan started VCU and earned a Masters Degree in Social Work.After 5 years in the social work field, she became a Realtor for about 2 years, started having children and decided to not work nights and weekends and went into a similar field selling household transportation for Mayflower, ranking many times as the #1 salesperson in the nation. But her heart was always into Real Estate and knew that once the kids “flew the coop” she was raring to go back . She knew that Remax Commonwealth was where she wanted to be. In her previous job of selling transportation, Realtors called on her and she knew that REMAX Commonwealth was by far the best of all the Real Estate companies she dealt with. She went back into real estate 8 years ago (when the real estate market had crashed). Being a Realtor is the perfect fit for Susan with her Social Work background, knowledge of construction, compassion and competitive spirit.Susan is and always has been passionate in helping others. Her Social Work background has been a tremendous force of working so well with her clients.She is a go getter, never gives up.Most of her family lives in Central Virginia and she is very close to them all. Her husband, Craig is a Class A Licensed Contractor and son…Benjamin has a degree in Construction Manage Engineering from East Carolina University and her daughter Amanda is in banking management with a degree from VCU in Business Management and Marketing.She is passionate about her family as well as her Border Collies. Volunteers for underprivileged children–Toys for Tots, Christmas parties for children of incarcerated parents. There comes her social work out! Harley fund raising activities, loves to scuba dive–has travelled the world to scuba dive, play racquetball, restore vintage furniture, OBX and best of all being a Realtor.
