Develop and effectively manage national identity/affiliation based volunteer caucus groups to create a more diverse and inclusive volunteer experience aligned with organizational mission, values, goals and objectives. Recruit, train and manage cross team staff to facilitate national volunteer caucuses. Create effective data management and communications systems. Engage caucus staff in organizational work groups doing relevant advocacy to bring volunteer caucus perspective to organizational work as well as bring larger organizational expertise, leadership development and resources to volunteers. Manage midwestern state chapters as well as provide training and support for Organizing Managers. Create and manage national affinity groups for volunteer leadership to increase recruitment and engagement of high impact stakeholders in the movement to end gun violence. Train, support and manage staff facilitators; develop pathways for feedback and influence from affinity groups to the organization; represent and coordinate affinity group input into national campaigns. Support national affinity groups, their volunteer leaders, staff facilitators, tracking, training, support and calendar. Lead affinity group work on the national field diversity equity and inclusion workgroup.Responsible for substantial training content and delivery at yearly national volunteer training conference serving over 2000 volunteer leaders annually.

Oversee growth and grassroots organizing of state volunteer chapters for national nonprofit with almost 10 million supporters. Recruit, train and develop leadership, manage chapter fundraising and budgets, collaboratively set campaign priorities and identify resources. Manage local, state and federal legislative and electoral campaigns. Build leadership teams of diverse volunteers including members of heavily impacted communities, gun violence survivors and family members, faith leaders, mothers, students and community members concerned with gun violence prevention.Support chapters in communications, partnerships, organizing, education and legislative and advocacy work consistent with and amplifying national goals.Conduct site visits and remote management with volunteer leaders to build relationships, listen, train, build support for strategy and campaigns and share innovation and best practices.Assist with curriculum development, training module content and in person and remote presentation for national volunteer training program.Managed state chapters in IL,IN,IA,KS,MN,MO,NE,ND,SD and WI.

Responsible for planning, finding funding and implementing collaborative poverty law projects within a non-profit and affiliated University of Wisconsin Law School clinical program. Included providing free clinics, direct legal services, lobbying, administrative advocacy, appellate representation, and community education and organizing with law student interns.
