Responsible for internal and external communications including the production of Currents magazine, (magazine for alumni, parents, and friends), the Annual Report of Donors, and the weekly internal newsletter. Also manage media relations, including writing press releases and cultivating relations with local media as well as manage and update the school website.Additional responsibilities for 2015-2017 include being the school chair for the Cape Fear Academy 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Duties include supervision of Admissions and Development offices as well as marketing, communications, and public relations.

Responsible for all aspects of recruitment and enrollment management as the school grew from about 200 to over 700 students. Taught Marketing & Social Media for high school students during part of this time. Served on the Leadership Team which included being part of two multimillion dollar capital campaigns.

Tutored students with dyslexia in private practice using Orton Gillingham specialized training received at Salem College by Mrs. June Orton. Was certified in this methodology by the Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators in 1995 when the Academy was formed.

Provided individualized remediation to elementary students with identified learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder in small groups. Also served an assistant director to the Lower School Director.

Taught elementary students with learning disabilities, emotional handicaps, and mental handicaps in a resource room setting.
