I am a seasoned banker and risk management professional with over fifteen years experience in the banking sector of the U.A.E. My areas of expertise encompass Enterprise and Regulatory Risk, Risk Governance, Environmental and Social Risk (ESR), Climate Risk, Risk Projects, Process Excellence, and Credit Administration.In my current role with Emirates NBD, I hold responsibility of managing the group's risk governance framework and related aspects. This includes setting and operationalizing risk appetite, monitoring/reviewing quarterly risk report submissions, and risk committee management. I also lead the risk aspect of regulatory and supervisory reviews for the group and oversee other critical risk governance activities. Furthermore, I am actively involved in the development of policies and scorecards related to ESR and climate risk.
