Grant Manager of The Transformative Climate Communities program. Overseeing projects management, administration and implementation projects in underserved communities in Los Angeles, Sacramento and Pomona, California.Transformative Climate Communities Program (TCC) empowers the communities most impacted by pollution to choose their own goals, strategies, and projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local airpollution. Administered in partnership with the California Department of Conservation, TCC funds community-led development and infrastructure projects that achieve major environmental, health, and economic benefits in California’s most disadvantaged communities. TCC is part of California Climate Investments, a state-wide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing GHG emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and theenvironment –particularly in disadvantaged com-munities. The Cap-and-Trade program also creates a financial incentive for industries to invest in clean technologies and develop innovative ways to reduce pollution. California Climate Investments projects include affordable housing, renewable energy, public transportation, zero-emission vehicles, environ-mental restoration, more sustainable agriculture, recycling, and much more. At least 35 percent of these investments are located within and benefiting residents of disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and low-income households across California.

Project management in the preparation of environmental documents as they pertain to adherence with NEPA and CEQA compliance laws along with developing mitigation methods to avoid or mimimize environmental impacts on proposed CA state highway system construction projects.

Division of Water Quality -Storm Water Program

Compliance and maintenance floats on the Rogue river to ensure that boaters held legal permits for river use, proper human waste removal systems and other necessary equipment for recreating on the river. Provided visitor center services such as issuing permits, river trip space reservation system, collection and accountability of fees. Informed visitors and boating parties of regulations pertaining to the river, presented quick briefings of responsible use of the river as well as personal safety precautions to be aware of in the wilderness. Performed recreation site maintenance, trail maintenance, hauled and unloaded garbage using heavy duty 4x4 trucks and utility vehicle. Performed vehicle checks for general maintenance requirements and assisted in traffic control during timer falling.

Implemented a proposed research project of mapping invasive plant species in forested areas of the park as a part of the natural resource management team. Collected data by conducting field surveys to estimate abundance of twenty-five different invasive plants and listed them in ranking based on highest abundance. Entered data into ArcGIS to develop a map of high priority areas that management should focus on, specifically in areas that had threatened natural or cultural resources. Led public involvement programs in removal of invasive aquatic and plant species. Presented research and findings at the US Department of interior Mosaics in Science Conference.
