Two secondary themes, the economy and new technology, were also discussed.In Moncton, the Heads of State and Government also decided to hold three sectoral conferences in preparation for the next summit: a symposium assessing democratic practices, rights and freedoms in the French-speaking world, to be held in Bamako, Mali; a ministerial conference on culture, in Cotonou, Benin; and the first Women of La Francophonie conference, in LuxembourgI also participated at the 1999 Canadian Culinary Olympic Team Conference held at the Delta Beauséjour, which gathered over 200 international Chefs. We also hosted the Atlantic Culinary Conference, hosted numerous celebrities including Queen Elizabeth II, George Bush Sr., the Governor General of Canada, New Brunswick’s Lieutenant-Governor, and worked with internationally renowned chefs including Michael Smith, Stefan Czapalay, Oprah Winfrey’s Chef Art Smith, and others. In 2002 and 2003 my team catered the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, treating the over 1200 guests to a wonderful meal and setting a national milestone for the JA organization. This massive exhibition complex, situated at 1600 Plateau‐Saint‐Joseph Boulevard, will facilitate the presentation of major events for Sherbrooke residents and visitors. The first major specialty show to be held at the centre will be the APCHQ Salon Expo Habitat, February 3‐6, 2011. The centre is easily accessible by the freeways and offers some 1100 parking spaces. This multipurpose building was designed by the firm of Côté Chabot Morel Architects, covers 60 000 sq. ft. of available space for rental and can accommodate up to three events simultaneously.
