Evaluate current usage of social media platforms by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) Membership Programs and Services Division. Conduct internal discussions with MBACC Membership Programs & Services Division staff members in order to gather feedback and suggestions regarding the current way that social media is being utilized. Compile internal data collected, independent research of other similar membership organizations currently utilizing social media, information from third party sources regarding effective social media marketing, and other various sources of information in order to develop suggestions for improvements to social media utilization by the MBACC – Membership Programs & Services Division at the conclusion of the internship.

Responsible for the daily office administrative duties including providing responses to emails received though WIPL email account, maintenance of WIPL email distribution list, and assistance of callers to the WIPL office with related questions. Increased traffic to WIPL Social Media sites by an average of over 50%, across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, between September 2013 and May 2014 through the implementation of a planned social media content calendar focused on the group’s targeted demographic. Assisted in the planning and execution of the Fourth Annual Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women, a two-day event which draws 600+ women to Conway, SC to attend entrepreneurial break-out sessions, listen to nationally renowned inspirational speakers, and honor native South Carolina women leading change locally, nationally, and globally. Responsible for communicating and coordinating with speakers, marketing to potential conference attendees, assigning student volunteers to appropriate areas of assistance, working with vendors to secure items needed to facilitate a successful event.
