I graduated from Cape Cod Community College with an Associates in Liberal Arts and continued my education at Bridgewater State University in Psychology and Special Education. I learned a great amount about people, and how to communicate effectively with people of all personalities. I also learned however, that this was not the career path I loved, and pursued my dream of working in Veterinary Medicine. I then became an Approved Veterinary Assistant through a NAVTA approved program. I have now spent the last two years growing from a surgical assistant, to a scrub nurse, to a anesthesia nurse, to floor supervisor, and now the Surgical Nurse Manager. I never imagined I could learn so much and grow as much as I have as a nurse. Working my way up has not only taught me to appreciate every role in the department, but also the value that each job has. My next goal is to become a CVT and continue to become a better nurse not only for myself, but also for my patients.
