NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues. Specific expertise in policy areas related to the adverse childhood experiences, social drivers of health, maternal and child health, child maltreatment, health disparities, substance use, tobacco and nicotine use, and mental and behavioral health for adults and youth. Project and program management of a multi-year grant from Health Resources and Services Administration, CareQuest and Inseparable. Previous grant management from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including the Divisions of State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Supports, Injury Prevention and Adolescent and School Health, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Bainum Family Foundation and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Contributions include drafting grants and budgets, oversight of projects, legislative research, publications and coordinating, managing and facilitating learning opportunities through in-person and virtual convenings for policymakers and their staff, health agencies and federal agencies.
