The National Conference of State Legislatures is the nation’s premier bipartisan organization serving the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues. The leadership of NCSL is composed of legislators and staff from across the country. NCSL is an effective and respected advocate for the interests of state governments before Congress and federal agencies.Expert in conducting complex, integrative research projects with an understanding of their political context. Can provide intricate policy interpretations to policymakers, stakeholders and the public while anticipating emerging trends within that policy and intersecting policy areas. Specific expertise in policy areas related to the adverse childhood experiences, social drivers of health, maternal and child health, child maltreatment, health disparities, substance use, tobacco and nicotine use, and mental and behavioral health for adults and youth. Project and program management of a multi-year grant from Health Resources and Services Administration, CareQuest and Inseparable. Previous grant management from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including the Divisions of State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Supports, Injury Prevention and Adolescent and School Health, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Bainum Family Foundation and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Contributions include drafting grants and budgets, oversight of projects, legislative research, publications and coordinating, managing and facilitating learning opportunities through in-person and virtual convenings for policymakers and their staff, health agencies and federal agencies.

Conducted programmatic analysis and evaluation for a program bridging physical health and social determinants of health sectors and assisted with embedding this program into Department contracts. Managed and redesigned a program focused on cost effective utilization of medical services.

Assisted with program redesign for a nine million dollar program and provider revalidation per federal guidelines.

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and tracking licensing applications of auto dealers, manufacturers, manufacturer distributors, manufacturer representatives, buyer agents, and salespersons to determine if all required documents have been submitted to comply with applicable Colorado Revised Statutes, specific regulations, licensing guidelines and internal policies. Other duties include using software applications to retrieve criminal background information; completing basic analysis of background information to determine any criminal history; interacting with licensees, courts, attorneys, and law enforcement agencies to obtain necessary court documents and/or clarify information; and preparing written summaries to the Licensing Manager. The position researches and tracks bond cancellation letters; provides guidance to applicants by phone and in person on licensing procedures; prepares documents for imaging.

Provided research regarding gentrification within the City of Fort Collins through a 10-15 year historical analysis of census data regarding changing housing markets, racial demographics, median income, and crime statistics.
