Promoted to Senior Research Executive 1 Feb 2019 working across Unilever Homecare categories. Elected as Growth Agent and Sustainability Lead for Sub-Sahara & Southern Africa in January 2019. Ranked top Unilever team globally 2020.

Working on the Select Client Team across multiple clients and categories. In this new role, it is all-encompassing, I am responsible for everything from managing the client relationship to presentations to detailed analysis to pitching to new clients to billing.I am enjoying the exposure to new clients and categories and the ability to make a difference in our clients lives by anticipating needs and identifying opportunities to drive growth.

Working on the Unilever Foods and Refreshments account, working closely with their CMI department - monitoring their brand performance across the categories, identifying opportunities and providing actionable recommendations.Share performance is monitored by analyzing data with various ad hoc requests combined with monthly deliverables tracking competitor and market performance. Clients often requesting answers to specific business questions that impact their individual business units requiring more in-depth competitive analyses involving pricing, promotion, availability, assortment, innovation, brand/category switching, consumption, LSMs, repertoire etc. It is an honour to be apart of this amazing company that is at the forefront of marketing research. During my final months at UCT, I assisted James Lappeman with various tasks. The most notable being that I assisted in the compilation of a textbook on South African Subcultures by sourcing Case Studies and setting thought-provoking questions on each.

Marketing tutor for BUS2010F and BUS2010S. Having the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with other students.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with some of the most incredible minds at UCT and in Cape Town, managing the marketing for the year-end event titled - Build Imag(I)Nation.

I interned for a month in the digital marketing department. Whilst I was there I managed various social media platforms including Instagram, Google+, and Pintrest. In addition I was responsible for recording the social media statistics on a weekly basis and updating the IMC schedule. I also ran all the competitions from the uploading on the various platforms to the drawing and announcing of the winner and ultimately delivering the prize.

I interned for a month at Y&R spending two weeks in Strategy and two weeks in Accounts management. I worked on various campaigns compiling competitor reviews, sitting in on meetings with digital, app development, and general strategy, as well as being involved in advertisement shoots and radio advert recordings.

I worked as an events team member where I helped with events planning, organisation and setup. Founding member of UCTMA.

I worked online as part of a marketing community forum for Coca-Cola providing insight and feedback on various marketing efforts throughout their various media production processes.
