As a member of the Middle East and Africa Sales Team I am responsible for client relationship management across Retail and Institutional clients in Africa. In this role, I am responsible for developing and executing on strategic growth initiatives, managing client and consultant relationships and delivering the BlackRock offering to clients and stakeholders across the region.

The product strategy role provides a link between the client and the Portfolio Managers. Responsible for managing existing client relationships and prospecting new clients, our team is key to driving forward the business for the investment team. I am involved with providing regular reporting to our clients and pitching UK equity offerings to new business opportunities. Primary responsibilities include covering charity and ESG mandates, the equity income offering and high conviction institutional portfolios.

Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Global and UK investment consultants across all asset classes, with an additional speciality in DC investment solutions.

Working with the Global Consultant Relations team where responsibilities included liaison with product specialists and portfolio managers, recording and updating monthly fund data, responding to consultant queries and managing a virtual active UK equity portfolio.

Responsibilities as part of the Bloomberg Sales Internship Programme included creating and tailoring “Launchpads” to individual client needs, ensuring clients had access to the relevant financial research for their role and informing existing clients of new services and functionality.
