I love completing projects, from beginning to end. It just doesn’t get much better than seeing something from planning to completion. Whether I’m steering automated drilling systems towards a target four miles below ground, training new employees, or even building a shed in my backyard, accomplishing the task at hand is so rewarding. Also, sweating the small stuff along the way is a must!Through both education, and a broad spectrum of experience, I’ve gained a wide-ranging knowledge base and distinctive skill set. I’ve seen the inner-workings of companies in various industries, and have witnessed how internal and external factors can affect financial health.Most recently, the oil and gas industry provided valuable experience in some very intense situations. It enabled me to work with some of the most advanced upstream oil/gas technology in the world. It also allowed me to work alongside individuals from all over the globe, with diverse backgrounds and different areas of expertise. Though I never had the project manager title, I always approached each job as its own project, and knew I was responsible for the outcome.I look forward to transitioning the skills I’ve acquired through the years to a more defined project management role, potentially in a new industry.
