My primary focus is on crafting outstanding SaaS experiences. This encompasses conducting comprehensive user research, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining a strong emphasis on design quality, usability and accessibility. I lead brainstorming sessions and design mockups and prototypes to bring concepts to life.

As a UX designer, I defined interaction models, user task flows and UI specifications. Our team worked closely with the creative director and visual designers to incorporate the visual identity of S&T into features. I helped develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups and specifications as needed. As a UI designer, I focused on how the product was laid out. I assisted with creating cohesive style guides and ensured a consistent design language was applied across the products. Specifically, I worked to help conceptualize and implement the visual language across the College of Engineering and Computing and the academic departments within.

I taught English 1600, an entry level course in technical communication. The class provided students with an enhanced understanding of the vocabulary, concepts and practices of technical communication. I covered basic professional communication such as emails, resumes, memos, letters, presentations, etc. I introduced students to usability, accessibility, rhetoric and ethics via informal proposal writing, website and document analysis, and multimedia projects.

As Assistant Director of Student Success Programs at S&T, I took a leadership role where I was responsible for making policy/procedure changes, improving office processes, managing the Miner Card ID Office, leading and empowering our student team and full time staff, designing and creating marketing materials, managing social media and representing the office when the director was absent.

I launched the Burns & McDonnell Student Success Center. I planned and executed the marketing plan including social media pages, website and all publications. Designed print and marketing materials for the Student Success Center and its programs.

I identified methods and technologies used to launch e-learning initiatives at Phelps Health. I coordinated and designed all marketing assets including videos, SharePoint site, flyers and newsletters.

Collaborated with the Director of Technical Communication Programs on course delivery/design format and assisted in the development of presentation materials for the Online Master of Science in Technical Communication program.

I worked directly with the US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear School (USACBRNS) Directorate of Training and Leader Development (DOT&LD) to redesign their Chemical Knowledge Network website. I performed a comprehensive assessment to determine technology requirements needed to support training courses for USACBRNS. I conducted usability testing on distance learning modules for DOT&LD.
