In this profession, which I obtained fresh out of college, I took everything that I had learned and applied it to the realm of software development and web design and development. On my most recent contracts, what I lacked in experience or education, I made up for with passion and tenacity. I have learned excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, using the work set before me as a sandbox for furthering myself for future ventures. Since I have worked on telecommuted contracts, I have excellent time-management skills and I am very self-motivated.

In this profession, I was required to wear many hats. I had to do receptionist work like paperwork, appointment confirmation, organizing, patient chart management, and cleaning. I also had to complete several milestones during a workday that would ensure that the next day or week ran smoothly. I was required to call patients whose glasses or contacts were ready and catalog when they would be in, set up appointments for the next day, tray inventory reports, "chore" delegation, etc. I can modestly say that I added a certain x-factor to my workplace with a positive attitude and a tenacity to get things done, while pleasing the maximum number of patients/customers as possible.

Although the shortest career I have ever had, I was able to learn a lot about construction, from planning and layout to implementation and finishing.During my short stay, I was immersed in several aspects of the construction world including: roofing (peel off and laying), landscaping, bricklaying, fence laying, retaining wall laying, concreting, garage construction, siding, window installment, soffet installment, etc.

I apprenticed under a gentleman that has more than 15 years of experience in the carpentry business. I learned several different facets of reconstruction, renovation, finishing, refurbishing, and new construction. In the midst of getting a firm grasp on these different facets, I learned how to have a tenacious work ethic, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. This work ethic serves me well today while I finish my schooling and in my position in REX Wireless.
