-Participating in an award winning network of volunteers who provide individualized attention and positive adult child relationships to prepare children attending preschool in low income neighborhoods for school success.-Implementing early childhood curriculum, supporting family involvement, promoting children’s language and literacy skills through ongoing relationships with five partner children, and increasing adult support in the learning environment.-Collaborating with a team of four other Corps members to plan twice weekly in-classroom activities for a class of twenty preschool children.-Received intensive training and professional development in early childhood theory and practice, language and literacy development, leadership skills, and communication with families.-Managing materials coordination in order to prepare the most positive classroom experience specific to each session plan for both Jumpstart members and partner children.

-Answering a myriad of students’ questions related to academic affairs, student affairs, student referrals, etc. -First point of contact with students, which assists the Undergraduate Advisors in the advising process by filtering the students’ needs.-Applying a peer’s perspective to students’ concerns through personal experience and knowledge of the university.
