Researched marine microbial population dynamics in Bellingham Bay, WA. Utilized a combination of microscopy and high throughput sequencing and analysis of the 16S and 18S rRNA gene as well as shotgun metagenomics to complete longitudinal assessment of the biodiversity across the bay.
