In 2020, I transitioned from communications specialist to editor of The Bent magazine of Tau Beta Pi. While my primary focus is now the collection of information, writing, design/layout, and final production of the magazine, I still assist the marketing and communications team in other areas as well.I worked as the communications specialist for The Tau Beta Pi Association for roughly 12 years, during which I was responsible for operations in the areas of information dissemination, public relations, alumni relations and networking, membership development, marketing, social media, and special projects.During this time, I have learned new skills such as html web design, blogging, email marketing, and the creation/publication of brochures and posters. I was also program lead for the Association's K-12 initiative (MindSET) and have experience planning, performing, and analyzing STEM activity sessions of large and small sizes.Specialties: Extensive interviewing experience for broadcast and print journalism, design experience with InDesign and Photoshop, presentation development, research and research techniques, knowledge of communication theory, and oral/written skills.
