- Manage data center infrastructure which includes servers, racks, power, cabling, SAN, libraries and storage switches to ensure stable and redundant connectivity.- Designed, tested and implemented virtual infrastructure using VMWare ESXi on HP EVA and NetApp SAN storage. Since implementation, physical server footprint has decreased 50% with continued P2V conversions each month.- Manage maintenance windows and schedule updates and reboots to all servers.- Researched, configured and migrated from enterprise wide Symantec Backup Exec system to Commvault Simpana backup architecture utilizing deduplication. Decreased nightly backup window on average 60% and some systems as much as 80%. Attended two, 1 week Commvault training classes.- Configure and maintain McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator server to ensure enterprise wide virus protection on all workstations and servers.- Installed and configured Citrix XenApp environment using RSA security. This is used primarily for doctors and other remote offices to gain access to the hospital clinical systems.- Implemented What’s Up Gold network monitoring to add a much needed layer of infrastructure monitoring and alerting of down systems. In addition, configured several proactive monitors such as drive space and CPU utilization alerts.

- Managed all aspects of server configuration, Exchange, backups, antivirus, networking and telephony for small 100 person benefits consulting company.- Managed small team of one full time desktop/printer technician and usually one intern.- Planned and managed office relocation from Malvern to Radnor including attending construction meetings, coordinating data cabling contractors and scheduling equipment relocations.- In addition to managing the phone switch, architected and configured the ACD infrastructure for the call center.
