I've always had a passion for creating and optimizing useful things. Immediately after I first learned how to turn a wrench, I was the kid my friends would come to bring their bikes back to life. Years have passed, but I still love doing that. I’ve had a lifelong drive for excellence in creating and improving devices, products, and the processes used to create them. As a Design Engineer and Engineering Manager with 20 years of experience in product design engineering and manufacturing from concept to market, I’ve been fortunate to have led close-knit engineering design teams for over 10 years creating industry leading products and fostering an environment of mutual respect and cooperation in the realization of product roadmaps to drive revenue growth. Significant product introductions include custom energy efficient lighting for large national brands like Shell, Exxon, and Starbucks. Skilled in engineering, team management, mechanical and electromechanical product design, design for manufacturing, project management, and technical communication and support with an emphasis on product performance and quality. Co-inventor on 14 patents. Strong understanding of lighting, 3D CAD, manaufactruring processes, and both mechanical and electrical product standards for both performance and safety.
