Senior Project Manager
Current• Develop sophisticated yet practical Excel-based rate modeling tools to calculate full cost-of-service, determine cost-benefit of alternatives and improve user experience through dashboards and calculators. • Incorporate raw customer data, operating budgets, debt repayment schedules, financial policies, and capital improvement plans into multi-year cash flow forecasting models.• Work with varying areas of local government including water, wastewater, stormwater, and ambulance utilities as well as the general fund.• Engage with a number of different agencies in multiple states including cities, counties, ports and special districts.• Utilize Excel and Access to manipulate, analyze, and summarize large sets of data (> 1 million records) through complex Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Power Query and VBA.• Other areas of work include utility mergers and acquisitions using cost based, market based, and discounted cash flow methods; general governmental consulting on indirect cost allocation plans and user fees; and economic feasibility and market analyses.• Document results in technical memorandums, comprehensive reports, and PowerPoint presentations to communicate assumptions, results, customer impacts, and recommendations to internal and external staff, city councils, boards of commissioners, and the public.• Manage personal role in multiple projects with differing managers, budgets, timelines, and deliverables; as many as 15 projects open at a given time. • Oversee and manage work product of multiple analysts on various projects.• Support Washington Finance Officer's Association via the Education Committee since 2015.• Lead the coordination of the Operations Group to include – workload management, attend bi-monthly/monthly meetings, coordinate training (1x per quarter), development of action plans plus mid-year monitoring, resolve personnel issues, and completing year end performance evaluations.
