I am a passionate Cloud and DevOps Engineer with almost two years of hands-on experience, currently advancing my knowledge at UTSA in the NSA's Cyber Operations track and Cloud Infrastructure concentration as part of my Computer Science degree. My academic and professional journey has been centered around optimizing cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and enhancing cybersecurity practices. I'm a huge fan of aviation, sports, and helping others when I can, so never hesitate to reach out!At UTSA, I lead the Rowdy Creators Club as President. Starting with ~20 members, through redesign and new initiatives, I've led a team to transform the club, now overseeing 80+ students dedicated to organizing and executing collaborative coding projects. Additionally, I spearheaded the RowdyCTF Project, developing a 24/7 hosted "Cyber Gym" that provides continuous hands-on practice for cybersecurity students. My efforts in this field led to a 4th place solo finish out of 50 teams in a Frost Bank-sponsored CTF event, losing out only to 3 collegiate-level cyber teams. I am currently developing a personal project to create a serverless flight loyalty platform, as well as a project to automate the reading and writing of contracts, with increased functionality for transparency on confusing legal jargon, and have developed a chrome extension to detect a user writing sensitive information into public text forums to protect against Open Source attacks. In my professional experience, I have:Provisioned and managed a non-production AWX (Ansible Tower) test environment using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, optimizing Ansible playbooks for internal deployments.Automated the auditing and documentation of Bitbucket repositories through custom Python scripts, ensuring code quality and compliance across teams.Automated the provisioning of Kubernetes clusters with custom Docker containers, facilitating efficient non-production testing and research environments.Conducted external network scans to validate the security of over 40 endpoints, integrating best cloud security practices into our infrastructure provisioning processes.Engineered load balancing and traffic management solutions using Terraform and Python, ensuring the stability and reliability of web applications.Certified in Security Plus, I am committed to driving innovation and securing cloud infrastructure through robust DevOps practices.
