Key achievements - Merger of four different IT-departments into one unified - Increased operational efficiency through automation, integration and implementation of new systems for Customer Service and alarm operatorsToday I work as manager for the IS and IT department that is specialized in serving all Securitas Sweden’s 24x7 operations, called the SOC. The SOC includes a number of departments for example the alarm receiving centers, guard dispatch center and a few other departments with similar needs. My department consists of 17 FTE’s including me. Our mission is to deliver fast and stable services to our users with a very high degree of redundancy, a high level of security and everything according to compliance demands that we operate under. Our operators handle tens of thousands of alarms and events every day and every millisecond counts. For me to be able to understand the demands of the business I have to get very involved in the business and together we try hard to improve the day to day operations as much as possible. We are continuously running a large number of projects that I need to keep track of and often take part in, both on a national level as well as on a European and sometimes global level.In my role as a manager I also am responsible for budgets and tracking of project spending’s, procurement, administration, all personnel related routines and procedures and a lot more. I also work with compliance both towards ISO 9001/14001 and specialized regulations that Securitas must follow

Key achievements- Consolidation of the two company’s IT-environment- Creating a common tour booking system for the two brands- Transition from physical servers to a 90% virtualized environmentAfter the merger between Ölvemarks Holiday and Scandorama in 2009 I took the role as IT/IS-manager and Facility manger. The IT/IS department consisted of 4 FTE’s including me and the facility department had one caretaker. I ran the merger of our infrastructures and systems. I built a completely new IT-environment for the merged company including new servers, a new windows domain, a new Exchange environment, new firewalls and a lot more. I also implemented virtualization and achieved 90% virtualization. Of course, the work continued with improving sales, productivity and efficiency by continuously developing our internal systems over the years after the merger as well.Tracking of spending’s, procurement and personnel related tasks was also part of my role as IT/IS-manager. As a facility manager there was a lot of work with keeping up maintenance plans, planning renovations and repairs of buildings and facility related equipment.

Key achievements- Development of a new SEO optimized website increasing conversions with over 450%.- Development of new Internet tour booking system- Through IT and IS help the company grow with over 50% in number of guests without increasing office staff.Ölvemarks Holiday was in those days one the biggest bus tour operators in Sweden. We were around 20 FTE’s organizing bus tours for over 30000 guests per year.At Ölvemarks (before the merger) I was manager for our IT and I also worked a lot with development of our booking system, online booking system and website to improve sales, productivity and efficiency for the company. Besides this I worked part time in the financial department with supplier invoices, currency trading, procurement of bank services and investments.

Key achievements - Creating new routines and tools to release new versions to customers.The company (TOIS for short) developed a business system, also called TOIS, for tour operators with the focus on bus tours. TOIS was owned by Ölvemarks Holiday AB and Scandorama AB who also were our biggest customers. My main task was to develop the financial and procurement modules of this system. I was also responsible for all internal systems and creating installation/upgrade procedures to our different customers. All this was done in very close cooperation with our customers. In June 2003, the owners agreed to dissolve the company and most of the staff was divided by our three main customers, I continued at Ölvemarks Holiday.

Key achievements - Implementation of SAP R/3The company is (or was) one of the market leaders in wholesale of gardening supplies and seeds. During my time, they had about 70 FTE’s and had offices in Tingsryd in Småland and Bergen in Norway. As I was the only one working with IT, I had to learn to take care of more or less everything. I managed most of the environment on my own, procured everything related to IT and telephony, developed and maintained applications and reports and created integrations. In 1999/2000, I was part of the implementation of SAP. In this project, I was a key player in translating business needs into something that the consultants understood. I was also acting as the “bridge” between the different departments involved making sure that all the sub projects were synchronized. The implementation was complete when I left in 2002 but we had developed customized applications within SAP and integrations with SAP. I continued as a consultant for about four years after I ended my employment with support and continued development of these applications.
