I am Terrence Miller, a data analyst and strategy game competitor.I have always been interested in statistics and numbers. At first it was to improve at different strategy games but as I looked into better ways to work with data I have become more interested in data analytics as a whole.I spent tons of time manually inputting data into excel until one day I was shown that python could do work that took me multiple nights in minutes. Have been completely hooked on learning new ways to work with data and automate data collection since.I have used data in gaming to:combat my biases. As one of the best at different strategy games you can develop strong opinions that not many people can challenge you on, so being able to see what the actual numbers are on those opinions can help to get past those biases.predict what opponents would use at tournaments and choose a strategy that would perform best against that field.gather my stats and decisions at a granular level to show and teach people how important every decision is to improve and perform at the highest level.
