I am currently responsible for the auditing and compliance of all clinical records on a monthly basis, in order to meet compliance standards set my funding bodies; state, federal and private. Reporting of compliance deficiencies in both the entire chart as well as documentation of services. Report findings on a monthly basis as well as a quarterly basis to both the Compliance and Quality Committees. Monitor findings and discuss issues with Managers/Supervisors to assist clinical staff in meeting the benchmark goals set by the agency. Track all compliance scores on an annual basis and provide to managers to assist in annual employee evaluations. Assist Director of Quality Improvement in monitoring and maintaining compliance with The Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO), including quarterly and annual reports. Assist auditors when they are on site with navigating our electronic medical record (EMR), answer questions and provide additional documentation when needed. I maintain our EMR in order to remain in compliance with state, federal and private insurance guidelines. I write reports as needed for Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Finance Department as needed where information is pulled out of the EMR via SQL and placed in a Crystal Reports. Some of the reports enable the forms in the EMR to be printed on demand or when charts are requested by auditors, other agencies or the clients themselves. I currently am responsible for credentialing all new behavioral health clinicians with all of our current funders as well as assisting them with registering for their National Provider Identification numbers. This requires follow up with vendors, state and working closely with the staff. Monitoring all vendor sites and updating both individual and site information. Working closely with the Contracting Department to ensure Facility credentialing where needed.
