Terri is an accomplished community development professional with over 30 years of nonprofit management and affordable housing experience. Throughout her career, she designed, implemented or oversaw a range of affordable homeownership and rental housing projects as well as small business and workforce development programs. She was instrumental in the implementation of neighborhood citizen planning initiatives resulting in mixed-used zoning districts and affordable housing. She works effectively in the for-profit, non-profit and local government arenas and holds a Masters in Urban Affairs in Housing and Community Development from Boston University’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Under her leadership, Neighborhood Renaissance, Inc., a Palm Beach County based nonprofit development corporation, expanded from a community driven start-up to become a proven nonprofit developer with net assets of $15 million. In the past 6 years, Renaissance’s projects generated $46 million of investment in underserved neighborhoods. Prior to joining Neighborhood Renaissance in 1999, she was Executive Director of Twin Cities Community Development Corp., a regional housing and economic organization serving low and moderate-income residents in central Massachusetts. Ms. Murray received the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations top leadership award for her role in founding and guiding the Florida Alliance of Community Development Corporations (FLACDC), a statewide membership organization for Florida's community development corporations, intermediaries, and financial institutions. She serves on the board of the FLACDC, the Community Reinvestment Alliance of South Florida, Palm Beach County Nonprofit Developer Forum, Palm Beach County Housing Steering Committee, and is Chair of the West Palm Beach Housing Advisory Committee. She is a former board member of the Florida Community Loan Fund and serves on several financial institution advisory boards.
