Chief Compliance Officer
CurrentResponsible for leading the Corporate Compliance Program for U.S. Anesthesia Partners (USAP), which is the nation's leading provider of high-quality anesthesia services. Currently supporting, USAP's 6,000+ clinical and corporate team members in multiple states.• Active member of the Executive Leadership Team.• Chair of the Corporate Compliance Committee and Policy Committee and provide oversight to 15 local compliance committees.• Manage and oversee the hotline and ensure thorough investigation and resolution of all matters. • Supervise Compliance Counsel, Compliance Education Specialist, Compliance Director, and a team of Compliance Auditors.• Collaborate closely with executive management and the revenue cycle management and coding teams to ensure billing and coding functions are performed in strict compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations. Integral part of team that investigates and identifies billing irregularities which have resulted in overpayment. This includes oversight of repayment process. • Prepare and present reports on compliance matters, including risks, internal and external audit reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and Corporate Compliance Committee.• Actively participate in due diligence process on all potential acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures.• Provide compliance advisement to support strategic initiatives and new business development.
