Responsible for successful implementation of assigned modules of the proposed MRPII system for the Sanford site.Ensure all Business, Regulatory, Consent Decree, Investigational & cGMP commitments will be addressed by the design and implementation of the site team developed system configuration.Development of detailed execution plan for the Purchasing Module and execution of timely detailed tasks and activities which are in support of eventual system cutover/go-live implementation. Effective communication and presentation to prospective systems users, owners and Sr. ManagementSr. BuyerCommunicate with suppliers to place orders, expedite deliveries, solve invoice discrepancies, revise pickup and/or shipping schedules, arrange returns, notify suppliers of complaints or rejections, obtain shipping and forwarding information, check on labor contract expiration dates, obtain pricing and availability information.Develop and maintain quality supplier bases for those commodities assigned. Meet with supplier’s sales representatives in order to evaluate their services and products to seek out cost reductions, quality improvement or new products. Perform supplier audits as needed.Prepare and review items for Contractual Agreements. Coordinate requests for proposal, invitations to bids and procurement packages involving contractual services for consultants, equipment, supplies, construction and capital improvements.Obtain the lowest possible long-term cost through negotiations, competitive bidding, and market and supplier knowledge. Analyze and evaluate quotations from potential suppliers. Aggressively seek and recommend cost savings possibilities based upon new sources, substitutions, improved systems or new items.
