I was responsible for developing new business into Ashburton’s boutique range of equity funds and managed multi-asset funds from major institutional discretionary and top end advisory professional intermediaries within the UK, with a predominant focus upon London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, and the Isle of Man. Some of successes I was responsible for included three Asian Research trips, which involved a number of top private client discretionary managers accompanying me and Ashburton's Head of Asia desk in visiting numerous key companies with attractive growth prospects, as well as government and independent analysts in major cities in both China and India. These trips helped attract sizable new investments into the company's Chindia fund. I was also responsible for producing the twice monthly Market Update which many of my contacts found valuable. I left the company in October 2013 to seek fresh challenges.
